Whats the spec of your VPS account, because that is ultimately what you are getting.

For another $10 per month you could get your own (low end) server:

I took a look at this package and noticed that they charge extra ($250) to install cPanel. Don't most hosts offer that for free? Or is it different for VPS?

That's really expensive, for the same price you can get double that ram http://www.knownhost.com/services/vps.html http://www.futurehosting.biz/vps.htm

The only problem with that is it is going to be an unmanaged one, but if you are cool with managing the server yourself then its the best solution.

Most VPS and Dedicated servers come with WHM/CPanel as option and there is usually an extra fee associated with it.
