Side Bar Down All Pages?

Is there an easy way to put a side bar down the side of all vb pages?

I believe there is a hack by Kerri-Anne at vb.org called the ultimate side column or something like that. It puts them on all pages. But if you read the thread, people have alot of problems with it.

That's the only one that I know of.

That Hack only does a max of 5 colums on each side. I used to have it.

5 colums?? You mean 5 blocks, don't you?

HP do a search for Amy Karr's left side column hack on all pages. (at vb.org)

I pulled it off by hand, but I didn't document it.

I hacked the header template after the logo. And then the footer template at the very end. I just made all that content show in a table, one column is the forum stuff and of course the second column is the sidebar. And it's XHTML validated.

I only use it on forumhome, forumdisplay and showthread though. It should work on all pages, but many are small and the column looks odd on them. I kinda see no point, but I could be wrong?

I really don't like having a column on all pages, which is why I went for forumhome only.

just a question, since you are talking about a side collum on forumhome, would you test my new mod i made, side bar down the left hand side of the page with options in the Board Options page? Anyone?

(BTW i have tested it, but need some other people to too)

I can't since i already have side columns on both of my sites, sorry ;)
