Local Weather

Here is a weather hack I did a long time ago. I use this on my forum and decided to offer it to the public. It is nothing GREAT but it does offer your members the option of showing local weather in your breadcrumb.

I have provided 2 screen shots for you to see it being used and one showing it not setup yet by the member. This will show the local time and temp for the users location that they input.

NOTE:
This is only for the United States. I have not got this working for other countries as of right now. When I do I will post it here.

I will do my best to provide support for this. I stay pretty busy, but will do what I can. Again this is just a simple hack and I hope you enjoy it.

Installation instructions are included.

I use this on TalkOhio, and my members love it. I put it in a module on the portal page on one skin, and in the breadcrumb on the other skin.

NICE work Chris

Your welcome Dan. :D

T2C I am looking into this. The weather site I am using in the hack, well they have a weird way of calling certain countries. So I need to find out how they are calling them and then go from there. As of right now no time frame, but I am trying to get it.

Sorry not had much time to focus on this. I will have a look at it some more this weekend.

For those wanting this to work with other countries, I have a question. What do you want the temperature in? Metric or English?

I plan on getting this to work with other countries either this weekend or next week when I have some time.
