Expired Licence - Action Needed

Hello all

Need to pick your brains a bit :D

I know of a website that is still running on an expired vb licence, what action can be taken against that website? I know vb is aware of it as they have sent an email stating that the renewal period has expired and that the software is now being used illegally.

Who can we report this to besides vb? I don't know what sort of action vb takes for this sort of thing, I want serious action taken against this website. Do we have any type of cyber police?

If vB is aware, they will take care of it....

Any idea what sort of action will be taken? I want these guys to be literally shut down and their domain name seized.

Actually if they have an owned license, the license never expires, only their access to customer service, and downloads does.

If a leased license expired, Piracy Reports (they are still in charge of that?, just wondering) can send a DMCA takedown notice to the hosting provider, asking them to shutdown the site. I don't think the domain name could be involved since that doesn't take part of the Intellectual Property rights being violated. All the US hosting providers will hastily comply. Hosting companies outside the US might have similar enforcement procedures to comply. But as has been mentioned, you don't have to do anything, you don't have the legal power to do so. Leave it to Jelsoft, they know what to do.
