Confusing place haha but looks very busy.

Horribly addictive - I have just short of 9000 posts on there. We were on the vBulletin default skin, so the change 2 nights ago was fairly dramatic. Hasn't gone down too well with the users :S

To be perfectly honest, I can see why the members don't like it. While at first glance it is a very attractive, clean-looking skin, if they are used to the simplistic navigation of the default skin, this one would really take some getting used to.

They're starting to come round to it now though. Estimates are that around £18,000 ($36000) was spent on the redesign, which I think is ridiculous

you're kidding right? I can't see that skin, or any site re-design costing that much. If it did, they got took real bad.

$36000!!!!!!!! are you kidding me, i wouldnt even pay that much to buy youtube.

They have one guy working a few days a week who's been at it about a year (we approximate $20000). They then employ Gossamer to manage their servers and the technical side etc. They had advertising consultants doing loads of research to see what would appeal to students. The list goes on and $36000 was what some of us reckoned it came to.
