Text link Units

I am posting this here because I think the idea is worth considering by both AA and the fellow forum owners here. If it needs to go into hack requests or something then maybe it should be moved (sorry about the trouble).

On some forums they have Google Text link Units under the first post, and I really like those, as they are small and fairly unobtrusive. I would like something like that for my forum that I can place in my threads...

Something like:
Ads by AuctionAds: ----- Occult Books -------- Tarot Cards ---------- Pagan Items

the links would then load a page with a series of Auction Ads like this page: http://www.occultcorpus.com/index.php?page=Shop

but with the theme of whatever the link specifies...

Like I said, I find the smaller link ads less intrusive to the readers of the forum then a full banner of ads or an ad block.

The trouble is there is really nothing that I know of to allow such a thing to happen...and that is why I'm posting.

Is such a thing possible? If it is, how can it be done? Maybe in conjunction with the Adsharing addon found on vBorg? (vB Ad Management 3.1 (Ad Sharing Edition) - vBulletin.org Forum (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=131150))

I reckon such a thing can be used for any number of ad programs... like maybe Joey could use it to link up his book store, or possibly an Amazon shop? I'm not a member of any of those, just AA... *shrug*

Thats not a bad idea really. Why make ity so complicated though? Just use the after first post ad box and place navigational links.

So the ad management thing can do that? (I have not used it yet, thus far my needs have been simple and I just put the AA ads in the forum description *innocent*)

Now I may check it out!

You dont need the ad management hack for just that.

You can place a box after the first post without it. Then just add your own navigation links.
