Sounds like it could be a server problem. Get ahold of your host.

Your host 'might' have moved your site to another server and the DNS hasnt caught up yet.

I have absolutely no idea what you did or they did. What hack did you install? You may need to seek help at vBulletin.com, or on the support thread for the hack that you installed.

ok im on the original board with all the members now, im not logging out lol, now the laptop wen my partner is logged in is kicking her from the main forum to the empty 1, this seems to be a problm with the IP i think, is there a way i can clear my IP from my database to see if that helps?

Thanks peggy

all recent hacks and template MOD's i recently done have now been reversed...

IMHO, still sounds like a DNS issue. I was on a forum that changed servers and WHOA!

The problems lasted for days. I'm on dialup and each time I'd need to log in was a toss up as to whether or not I could load the site. Other members had to wait for DAYS before they could do anything.

I swear, it was even causing odd cache issues for some of the members.

Give it time, once everything settles down all should be well...

In the meantime, you can do this...
On your computer, Start > Run > in the box type cmd > OK
In the black box that comes up, after Owner>, type ipconfig/ flushdns.
Hit your enter buttonYou should see the following message:

It is a DNS issue. Believe it or not, no matter what your hosting company tells you, some ISP's and Proxies can take up to a week to propagate totally. I moved a week ago and still had 1 user today on a school proxy that is seeing the old site :(

try accessing your site thru a proxy

try www.dimeandnickel.info

best advise is before a move close the forum and make the close message say like "we are moving servers, when the board reopens you will be on the new server, thanks for your patience" then once you can see the new server open the board up. then there will be no confusion for members. and no posts lost.

giving a link with the new IP rather then the domain can also help to bypass the DNS issues if people are slopping back and forth.

or maybe it was like a link like host.com/~membername/sitename/forum/ *shrug* Either way, the DNS can be bypassed, I just don't remember which method the admin used when it happened to us.
