I've currently host my forum and about 3 other very small 3-4 static page sites on a dedicated server hosted with The Planet. A good majority of this server is going un-used and is pretty costly for me to keep with really just one site on it (my forum). So I'd like to share the server with someone else whom is needing hosting for their vBulletin forum.

Here is what we'd be sharing:

The Planet: Total Control P2800S Server
Processor: Dual 2.8GHz Xeon Processors
RAM: 2GB
Hard Drive: 2 x 73GB SCSI HDD (One HD stores html files, other stores MySQL databases)
IP Addresses: 10
Operating System: RedHat Enterprise Linux 3.0
Bandwidth: 2500GB
Control Panel: cPanel
Database: MySQL

The server is maintained and secured by the professionals from Touch Support, they also monitor the server 24/7. Also the server's databases and site files are backed up remotely off-site to the BQInternet servers.

My cost for this server is $300.00 every month - I'm looking to split this cost with 1 person. I'm not a hosting company, nor am I wanting to become one - so please keep that in mind while if you're thinking about sharing this server with me.

If you are interested in the server, please contact me at admin@rcnitrotalk.com

Thanks!

Did you have any luck with this Michael?

I've had a few people want to share the server but only want to spend $20-40 which doesn't even cover the cost of the server management alone.

While I could probably get 3-4 people at the cheaper rate I stress I'm not looking to get into the web hosting business, simply share extra resources I have available.

Hi Michael

I also have a server with ev1 and then a 2nd server with 1and1 however we look after our own servers, so it does reduce the cost for the ev1 server

as for 1and1 .. you can get very good prices at this moment for a managed server and it will bring your monthly fee right down

Drop me an email if you wish

Cheers
