ShoppingAds site down, Ads not showing

A board member noticed the ads were missing. I checked the site with both my computer and my DH's and all we keep getting is a white screen.

Does anyone know what's going on and when they'll be back up? Hopefully this is only a short term issue.

Wow, now that has not happened in a while. Must be because I added more of their ads to give them a second chance... no, that's a third chance... erm, ok, twenty third chance :D

*shrug*

FWIW I sent them a letter at the support addie I had to let them know if they didn't and to ask if they had a ETA for when it might be back up. If by some chance I hear back from them with details I'll post them here.

qryztufre, I know they have a history as AuctionAds of having issues, hopefully the change to new owners will pull it together soon. It's really a great concept if they can get it to work properly.

Sorry for the totem post but FWIW...

As someone new to shoppingads AND using the great "rewrite" ebay links" hack it hadn't occurred to me that I would need to disable the hack. :o

One of my board members pointed out that when you click on one of my members eBay links they go nowhere/file not found.

The shoppingad site itself came back up last night so I was really hoping they'd have the search and gizmo's back up as well by now.

Misleading at best...

Mediawhiz was a part of Auctionads from the very beginning. When they took full control of it, nothing (NOTHING) was fixed, in fact, things even got worse for several months. In the mean time they came out with ShoppingAds which was seemingly riddled with the same problems as AA. Then the merged the two...

The only thing the merged fixed was them having one headache rather then two! As all the troubles that people have complained about, still pretty much exist.

Though, for those that are now interested in only the Auctionads side of things, they are rather SOL, as they neglected to integrate any of the AA info into the SA FAQ pages... so if you have a question on how things used to work, you best be checking the way-back-machine, because frankly, Media Whiz does not care about you, only themselves, and the money they are seemingly not skimming off the top of your ads.

Bitter? Heh, well, it's been almost a year now and they have not fixed anything...

I'm sorry.. I didn't realize this was MediaWhiz's from the beginning. :o The write ups I found gave me the impression they had bought out a private owner/developer.

MediaWhiz seems like a big corp so I don't expect it to actually care about the users of their product any more then I do eBay any more. OTOH it seems to me that to not fix it properly is foolish on their part since it's costing them money not just in affiliate money but tech time, etc... of course I suppose if it fails they could just call it a tax write off.
