I have no experiance in using this just got this while browsing and thought it maybe usefull for forum admins...

This program uses smooth resizing to make avatar images look very similar to the original--just smaller. The resulting avatar file, including any image that is not resized, is in JPEG format. The program is designed to resize images to a maximum of 150x150 only, not to edit them. You can select any size from 1x1 pixels up to a maximum of 150x150 pixels. The program supports JPG, BMP, WMF, EMF, ICO, and GIF formats.

Does vB use imagemagik to resize uploaded avatars? I'm pretty sure one board I visit automatically resizes and compresses images.

I believe it does... I remember reading something about it somewhere in vb.com... yeah I know I couldn't be more vague... but I distinctly remember some remark about it by a vb dev.

Yep it does.

It only has issues with animated gifs. If it resizes an animated gif you lose the animation.

Otherwise it works fine. Put in any size pic you want it will constrain it to the dimensions defined for that User's Usergroup.
