I just had sheila19624 with an address of sheila19724@mail.ru join my forum. A quick Google seach for that string turns up 20,000 links :). Vbulletin says she doesn't want to get any email from me. I wonder why?

I am very new to vbulletin so any suggestions for how to make sure this account is eliminated would be appreciated.

It sounds like you got a bot. Put in e-mail verification... They won't be able to verify their username and post or anything unless they give a valid e-mail. Those things don't give those. Usually they are only on to give you a "home page" setting to click on.
