Corporate Blue

Here is a business style I designed. I used allot of the default vB colors and graphics, but in the end I think it all worked out. I have added some rollover buttons on the left side of the forum.

DEMO (http://www.themesbydesign.net/forums/index.php?styleid=104)

1. Open your ftp client to your server. Go to your forum's images folder, open it, and create a styles folder.
2. Next, upload the "corporateblue" folder via FTP to your server, into your forum's styles folder, so that your image path is images/styles/corporateblue/buttons, for example.
3. After you've uploaded the folder, open your admin control panel on your forum, and import the xml file, by going to Styles & Templates > Download / Upload styles > Import Style XML File.
4. Click on the Browse button, locate the corporate-blue.xml file, and double-click it so it loads in that box, then hit the Import button.

Now open the folder labeled "Upload to forum root" and upload the file in that folder to your forum root.

That's it!

How to edit your buttons in the side column.

1. Go into adminCP | Styles & Templates | Style Manager | Edit Templates | Forum Home Templates | Forumhome.
2. Now below the $navbar you will see the following:

<div id="menu2">
<ul>
<!-- CSS Tabs -->
<li><a id="current" href="http://www.YOURSITE.com">YOUR SITE</a></li>
<li><a href="Link 2">Button 2</a></li>
<li><a href="Link 3">Button 3</a></li>
<li><a href="Link 4">Button 4</a></li>
<li><a href="Link 5">Button 5</a></li>
<li><a href="Link 6">Button 6</a></li>

</ul>
</div>This is where you edit your buttons. I have a sample one done for you to see how to do it.

To add a new button just add this line above the </ul> tag:

<li><a href="Link 2">Button 2</a></li>
I hope you enjoy this style.

Thanks
Chris

Where can I find the little globe image? I want to swap it for something else.

Also, how can I get that side navigation to appear on all forum pages, same as the navbar would with another skin?

The globe is part of the header image. Unless you know how to use photoshop or another image editing software, you can't change it.

I'm fairly fluent wth photoshop :)

However, the globe I was referring to was the small image that sits on the left side of the navgation buttons.

The globe is part of the button. You would have to mess with the button images and make the changes on your own. Look in the folder for the style and you will see the images I speak of. Look in the Upload to Forum Root folder. Be sure not to change the size of the buttons or it will throw the side column off.

Kay, I'll take a look.

What template changes would be neccessary to make the side column appear on all pages? I wouln't want to keep clicking back to use the navigation. :(

Unzip and upload this XML file and replace the current corporate-blue XML file. This should make the side column work on all the main places. Keep in mind this is a quick edit I did so please let me know of any issues you find.

second XML isn't working. Just makes the entire background white :/

EDIT: changed some imagepaths, so now all the images are present. The problem is that now the side navigation isn't on any of the pages at all.

Hmmm weird. I got it working on mine with doing what I said above. Let me have a look around and I will see what I can find.

I'm not entirely sure how to get it working. Do I just upload the images and upload the second XML as a new style? Or do I merge it into the first style? The way I'm doing it just gets rid of the side column altogether. :(

EDIT: No problems, I found a way to wok around it by putting the contents of the side column template at the bottom of the navbar template.

Hey if you want shoot me a PM with temp access to your style and templates and I will have a look at it for you.

Also yes just import this XML and override the old one. You should be good to go then. Make sure that you have $sidecolumn in your forumhome and forumdisplay templates.
