Do you sign up on a lot of boards to spam with your sig? If so, why and please post your email address so I can return the favor.

I get those sometimes. Which is why I'm hoping that in 3.8, what they say is going to be "enhanced" PM system, will actually include the report PM feature that we've been asking for.

I think every free forum admin in the world does nowadays. These spammers just don't get it :(
I'm currently working on a series about using Web 2 for building business (http://www.theforumsa.co.za/index.php?page=web2-for-business). It is coming along quite slowly because I haven't had much spare time of late. But from what I've got out so far:
Probably one of the big mistakes made when using social networking for business is to confuse advertising with participation. Web 2 communities exist for a purpose, and quite often that is not merely to be a free repository for your adverts. You need to attract interest with quality content and participation. Take a moment to understand what does and does not work, and why.
Of course this applies to more than just social networking - it is any form of UGC. Good manners and understanding that there is a value exchange even if there is no fee (http://www.theforumsa.co.za/forums/showthread.php?t=3674) goes a long way.
