Create a Head-to-Head Debate room where Users will have temp access?

I'd like to create an area where users can request direct debate and are able to:

1. Select a Debate Moderator who will ask the questions.
2. Have a time-limit to answer posts...
3. Be seen, but other users have no access.
4. Have only temp access that times out...

Can I do this?

I think I can do 1 and 3 with Access masks and simply making the person a Moderator temporarily... I'd like it to be more automatic than that though...

It can be done. I coded a rap battle hack a while back that had most of those features. But it's alot of work.
