Delete all posts from a user

Does anyone know of a way to delete all posts from a certain user in one fell swoop. I need to get rid of a bunch of posts from a spammer.

You can use advanced search to find all posts by a user - just set the results by post radio button rather than the results by thread button.

Now you get the usual checkboxes where you can select posts for moderator actions. I'm just not sure if you select delete that it will delete just the posts, or whether it will delete the threads. First prize would be to mess around with that on a test forum, or may go with soft deletes until you're sure you're getting the results you want.

If I recall correct you can delete all posts from the user actions drop down in the Admin CP when editing their profile.
