Just wondering what you do as a webmaster to help other webmasters and how much you do. I enjoy helping others no matter what the cause so maybe I do a little more than most.
For the most part when someone annouces a forum or website site on vbfaq or one of the other help sites. I go sign up, try to make a couple of on topic posts or at least a couple of suggestions for their board. Some, I don't hang around because their topic doesn't interest me. Others I do hang around (like Peggy's board) cause it's of interest or fun for me.
I suppose the reason I go sign up is because as a webmaster I know how discouraging it can be to spend all that time setting up and tweaking your forums then having no members or no content contributing members.
Other things I've done is FTP into someones site to chmod files. The other night I got an IM from someone that came from a vB board, he needed help adding smilies. I wound up FTPing in and uploading them myself as well as uploading some theme files.
What do you do? :)
