Trying to look into different affiliates and marketing options

Im looking through so many options such as adbrite and im trying to go away from google and go to yahoo but then again i feel google is better.

adbrite is ok for a marketing company but then again who knows.

I cant figure out what i could do to make my site roll more inficiantly with more crawlers, I could have something in either my robots.txt or htaccess

I have that but then again i dont know if its even installed correctly in my htaccess to allow crawlers locate them but then again i couldnt tell.
