Adsense code placement

Can you tell me where I'd put the code for Adsense so that it appears directly below the header and above the forums?

Thanks!

If you want it only on the forum home, you place it in the forum home template beneath the $navbar code.
If you want it on every page, place it in the forumdisplay template, again beneath the $navbar code

Thanks! Just what I needed.

One more question -- if I want one size ad on the Forum Home page, and a different size on the following pages, would I put the code for one size under the Forum Home Header and a the code for the other size on the forumdisplay template? Or would this create a conflict?

nope, that will work fine. You can see that Joey has different size ads here on the same template, Showthread... a large ad banner above the Quick Reply and a half banner under the navbar

Great! That's what I figured -- just wanted to be sure.

Another question -- if I wanted to give it some space either above and/or below, what do I do? Also, how do I center it?

Again, thanks.

I think you misspoke.

If you want it on Forum Home - then the Forumhome template.

If you want it in the forums, then the forumdisplay

If you want it in the threads, then the showthread template.

In all cases, place the code under $navbar...

Doing all 3 will place the ads on pretty much all acceptable pages.

hahaha I'm gonna get shot for this.

To center... in front of the code I put <div align="center"> and at the end of the code </center>

To make space above or below, use these tags <br />. However many you need

Thanks for the update. Now what about giving it some space above and/or below? I put in the ad, and it's crammed right up against the top of the forums!

This is crazy -- I know I'm doing something wrong:

After the code, I put <br/> a couple time, on separate lines, and nothing is happening. I also tried <br />. Still nothing.

Any thoughts?

It has to be <br /> (there's a space there). I don't know why it wouldn't be working.
Be sure you're putting it outside of the actual adsense code

ski diva

yep, it does work -- IF YOU PUT IT OUTSIDE THE CODE!!!!

sorry 'bout that.

Thanks.
