Can you tell me where I'd put the code for Adsense so that it appears directly below the header and above the forums?
Thanks!

Adsense code placementski diva 08-10-2006, 10:24 AM Can you tell me where I'd put the code for Adsense so that it appears directly below the header and above the forums? Thanks! Peggy 08-10-2006, 10:37 AM If you want it only on the forum home, you place it in the forum home template beneath the $navbar code. If you want it on every page, place it in the forumdisplay template, again beneath the $navbar code ski diva 08-10-2006, 10:52 AM Thanks! Just what I needed. ski diva 08-10-2006, 10:54 AM One more question -- if I want one size ad on the Forum Home page, and a different size on the following pages, would I put the code for one size under the Forum Home Header and a the code for the other size on the forumdisplay template? Or would this create a conflict? Peggy 08-10-2006, 11:12 AM nope, that will work fine. You can see that Joey has different size ads here on the same template, Showthread... a large ad banner above the Quick Reply and a half banner under the navbar ski diva 08-10-2006, 11:17 AM Great! That's what I figured -- just wanted to be sure. Another question -- if I wanted to give it some space either above and/or below, what do I do? Also, how do I center it? Again, thanks. Joeychgo 08-10-2006, 11:21 AM If you want it only on the forum home, you place it in the forum home template beneath the $navbar code. If you want it on every page, place it in the forumdisplay template, again beneath the $navbar code I think you misspoke. If you want it on Forum Home - then the Forumhome template. If you want it in the forums, then the forumdisplay If you want it in the threads, then the showthread template. In all cases, place the code under $navbar... Doing all 3 will place the ads on pretty much all acceptable pages. Peggy 08-10-2006, 11:22 AM hahaha I'm gonna get shot for this. To center... in front of the code I put
and at the end of the code
To make space above or below, use these tags
. However many you need Peggy 08-10-2006, 11:23 AM I think you misspoke. If you want it on Forum Home - then the Forumhome template. If you want it in the forums, then the forumdisplay If you want it in the threads, then the showthread template. In all cases, place the code under $navbar... Doing all 3 will place the ads on pretty much all acceptable pages. You're right, I did forget the showthread template. sorry :o ski diva 08-10-2006, 11:26 AM Thanks for the update. Now what about giving it some space above and/or below? I put in the ad, and it's crammed right up against the top of the forums! Peggy 08-10-2006, 11:27 AM hahaha I'm gonna get shot for this. Thank you thank you!!!!! Peggy 08-10-2006, 11:41 AM haha, I've been called alot of things, but a Godsend isn't one of them ;) You're very welcome ski diva 08-10-2006, 11:58 AM This is crazy -- I know I'm doing something wrong: After the code, I put
a couple time, on separate lines, and nothing is happening. I also tried
. Still nothing. Any thoughts? Peggy 08-10-2006, 12:00 PM It has to be
(there's a space there). I don't know why it wouldn't be working. Be sure you're putting it outside of the actual adsense code ski diva 08-10-2006, 12:06 PM yep, it does work -- IF YOU PUT IT OUTSIDE THE CODE!!!! sorry 'bout that. Thanks. Joeychgo 08-10-2006, 12:08 PM whats your site? Peggy 08-10-2006, 12:16 PM yep, it does work -- IF YOU PUT IT OUTSIDE THE CODE!!!! sorry 'bout that. Thanks.
