Auto-subscribe to posts

How do I turn auto-subscribe to posts on as default for all new users so they get an email when a thread they posted on is replied to?

There are 2 settings....

One is in AdminCP> vBulletin Options> User Registration Options>
Default Registration Options - This will set the default for new users.

The other is in AdminCP> Maintenance> Execute SQL Query> Automatic Query

Choose the one you want from the dropdown menu. This will change the setting for ALL CURRENT USERS.

You may want to rethink turning it on by default. I recently had someone make a post and cause a big ruckus calling the auto notifcations spam.

I made a global announcement about how to change the preferences. Some people just don't look before they complain.
