New Links Directory available!

I set this up tonight on my forum using the custom templates hack and a PHP script. I invite you to add your site/forum link, and if necessary, suggest a category.

I liked how this turned out and wanted to share. :D

I tried to submit a link, but it keeps telling me to select a category first. I promise you I did. Maybe it's late and I got lost? Let me know.

It requires you to go into the category that you want to be listed in then click on submit a link. Same if you want to be listed in a sub cat. I will make a note of that somewhere. Sorry about that.

That is what I'm saying, I did exactly that. It won't work. I'm using Firefox, let me try IE. And to make sure I'm not just stupid, I'll double check Firefox.

Nope, I tried IE and FF and it won't show me a submit form. It keeps telling me to select a category. I promise, I did that. I even registered.

Ah ha, I went and tried again in another category. It will only show the form in a sub-category. We can't submit to any categories that do not contain sub-categories yet.

NO I have been cracking at different things all day and I just over looked the sub cats part. I got GARS up and running today. So that was a fun thing to get going. We have the VB,org look in our vbstyles area. I am really liking this. :)

I added sub cats to all the main cats. So everyone should be able to submit links now. If you do not see a cat or sub cat suggest it to me and I will add it.

This is looking so good Chris! The upgrade to the latest GARS did the trick with that.

The directory script seems to be running pretty smooth

Then I navigate to http://www.eaglegraphix.com/cplinks/community_and_forums - so far so good.

Then I click on Misc Forums (http://www.eaglegraphix.com/cplinks/community_and_forums/misc_forums.html) and I get:

The requested URL /cplinks/community_and_forums/misc_forums.html was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

There are no links in those cats yet. But it shouldn't bring a 404 error, still. I'm glad you brought this to our attention. I don't think that anyone else caught it

LOL.. I know it is now, thanks to Minstrel. I don't know anything about that directory,
but I'll make sure Chris sees it. :p

Yes it is active and the page should load now. The data base had to be reloaded. Don't know why it did that on just that page, but anyways it is working fine now.Thanks for pointing that out.
