The importance of Forum Descriptions

Forum Descriptions and titles have several important aspects. They arent something you just want to do on the fly and forget about.

Why?

2 reasons.

1. They explain the purpose of the individual forum and what information should be posted in it;

2. They are important for SEO. This is especially true for your archives (http://www.vbwebmaster.com/forums/archive/index.php). The more keyword rich text, the better.

SO make your descriptions and forum titles keyword rich wherever possible.

I think it is also a good idea to keep those descriptions at the top of the forum. Not just forum names either, when you look at threads the thread topic/description could be up there as well.

It further ads to the targeting context for Adsense type of ads and for SEO purposes.

I will attach an image.

Does anyone know how I can code it so longer descriptions dont run to the page edges but indent a bit?
