Starting a BLOG... what to use...?

OK guys 'n gals some advice please...

I have several domains sitting around doing nothing really and I thought it was about time I put a site together for me...:) Yeah... just for me.... well.. and the family to be honest.

I want to put my synth demos/samples together all in the same place for easy listening to whoever wishes to go through the pain of listening to them.. and I woudl like to put a BLOG together of what I am up to - if nothing, for the kids when they might in years to come have fun reading what their Dad did.

I am with ASO and have fantastico so there are several blog type scripts I can auto-install but have no idea which ones are better/worse than others. I see WPress often, and I also seem several very nice looking templates associated with that blog. So... anyone have suggestions as to what I should do with my great (well I am in the UK) domain name MrJohn.co.uk ...:)

There's a default Mambo install on there right now as I have been testing but I really want to at least turn this into something interesting.

Which, if I am totally honest Joey (and I usually am) seeing you recently develop and release your BLOG was what motivated me into doing something about mine...!!!! It has been so long unused that I really need to do something.
