Somebody wants to "merge" another tech forum with mine and I'm wondering what I would have to do to merge the two together and if that's even possible?? You could use phpMyAdmin and do this at MySQL level, or you could simply use the vB ImpEx script to import the additional records into your current forum. Before you do this - please ensure you have a full backup of your data and files, and I would also suggest that you do this on a test board prior to undertaking on your live board.
