SOmething I have noticed regarding the recent google update

VBulletin Forums are being affected in 2 ways...

First - we are losing pages previously indexed.

Second - We are moving up in the serps.

I know this because I track a competitor for one of my main KW. He has moved up just as I have - despite his lack of SEO.

Maybe google is applying filters, both positive and negative to forums?

I'm not having the same experience. All of my forum pages have been dropped and are nowhere to be found in the SERPs.

EXAMPLE: For a very long time I was in the #1 position for a super non-competitive term, "Superstition Buttes" and now I'm not even in the top 1000.

I've also dropped index'd pages and climbed the SERPs a bit.

Thats the wierd part - Im losing indexed pages, google isnt spidering anywhere near like they used to, but im much better in the serps.
