I was wondering if anyone knew how to add or remove advertising to a VBulletin forum.....exactly like the google ads on this forum? Where can I add or remove advertising in that position? I want to remove Clicksor and replace it with Google adsense.
I have just spent the last 2 hours looking thorugh every file and going through the admin section and i cant find it...... HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is an easy one to answer cyclops...:)

Yes, you can add banner advertising to your vB forum, and you can add this anywhere you like. You can simply edit any of the templates using your style manager and add the banner code in there.

You will need some form of banner management and delivery software, and there is an excellent free banner mgt application called phpAdsNew which is first class - and free!!!

If you just want to include google ads and you don't need a full banner manager, then simply edit one of your templates to include the code google supplies you with for your banners.

Typical templates wher eyou might find banners are header, forumhome, footer, threadview and navbar.

Shout if you need more assistance...:)

Thanks for you help.

I have gone into the style manager however, I have come to a stand still. I have so many components I can edit that I cant seem to find the one I am looking for.

If you go to that link I am actually trying to remove the clicksor ads but dont know which component I need to edit? One other thing. If I want to ad the co-op network to the bottom of the forum, which component should I edit?

Thank you again for all of your help.

Hi Cyclops

I think those clicksor ads are contained within your header template. Use the style manager to edit that template and it's my guess that you will find the code in there.

AdminCP > Style Manager > Select Style > Edit templates > Edit header

Look for the code in there.

that could be header or navbar...

I would also suggest you consider dumping the header graphics, they slow your site down dramatically

I believe he has template things turned on in AdminCP which when you view source, allows you to see when each of the vB templates start and end...

Could be wrong... but I was sure it was the header...:)
