I've had a play with adding templates in my test vbulletin forum ready for when I take the next step for a new project I've had in mind for some time.
Now I could go the route of adding templates to take care of things, or go buy the vBadvanced Links Directory.
Apart from the cost of vBadvanced Links Directory VS getting to grips with any adding of templates, what would the pros and cons be? Or have I answered my own question. :)

vBadvanced Links Directory is already made...;) hehehehehe you'll save lots of development time, and you can continue to learn at the same time.
Go for it... you know you want to...:)

Don't re-invent that wheel, eh :)
How easy is it to install vBadvanced Links Directory compared to vBadvanced CMPS. I've looked at installing vBadvanced CMPS but have so far ran scared :(

Both are easy to install Rains... honestly. I have 5 vB sites, all of which have vBA. I had a coder install 4 of these due to the same reasons as you but for my 5th I decided to have a go myself. Easy as pie... take a look.. www.heatherlou.com.

I did have a real go at installing VBadvanced earlier tonight. Took me ages to get past where I normally get, then I spotted and worked out how to use the "Find and replace" tool on the FTP proggy :o
That was on my test board. I've since taken it down and put up a fresh one. I take it the vbadvanced links directory can be used on its own with vb3 without the CMPS?
Step by step is how I have to go. I've only just managed to get a banner up on my current forum :)

Yes, it's not bad at all, and free :)
Just a question on data database use: Would I have to obtain permission to include anyone or any company in a database?
