Within a month we are now #4 and 5 for " real estate forum " on msn.
I love how they update fast and go by activity as well as content. Their algo is so hard to figgure but that is a good thing. MSN is all about quality I believe ( I am not a realtor but the best realtors are on board with me so I can say that :D )
Anyways, I hope the other search engines will move into the same direction and the search engine game will change to where rankings coincide with what the sites really have to offer!
just me 2 cents ...

Google had me ranked for pages that have been stale for years, I took those down and am all into progress. I believe msn validates activity and freshness of content as well. Very important in real estate as houses sell and many sites ranked in Google are no longer doing business.

MSN loves my site, reason ? as soon as i placed a link on my frontpage to microsoft.com i got top spot in my category :D
I have a gaming site, and the game needs DirectX to run, so i added the MS link so ppl could get the latest version.
MSN liked that very much ;)

I believe there is a reason, we are all connected somehow, thru Digitalpoint, realestatewebmasters ... my real estate forum even.
The spiders seem to dwell in neighborhoods they like. It just cannot be a coincidence that so many sites in the results are sites I have seen before from people on different forums.

To bad we can't redirect msn results to google results.:(
I have two different themed sites. I just checked msn and both rank top 5 on msn for these sites targeted keywords.
Thanks MSN ...
I guess google is more concerned about quantity of inbound links over good relevant topics and content.
I always considered MSN to be the quickest to rank a website in their engine as opposed to the other engines

Thanks for the sharing, I never knew this until now, the difference in the way MSN & Google ranks the sites.
