What are your favorite vBulletin hacks?

And why?

Mine is the vBGarage, vBAdvanced CMPS and the Easy Archive Hack

The garage is a great solution for automotive sites needing to have a place for members to post pics if their car

CMPS is a highly customizable homepage option that allows you to let various usergroups see various things

The easy Archive Hack seems to be loved by google and very easily spidered.

Thanks Joe. vBGarage with multiple garages/gallaries per user is going to be coming out of beta soon. The improvements are too many to list here. It is a nice lightweight photo gallery for car sites. However, vBGarage is fully customizable through vBulletin phrases and can be modified to be a gallery for just about anything you want.

The html and templates feature SEO optimizations suggested by Joechgo. The templates were also designed with google ad placement in mind for maximum click through. Thanks a bunch for all the help Joe!

The editor interface is completely rewritten to be much more intuitive for the user. The enhanced/wysiwyg editor is now included and there is post preview.

Pictures can be uploaded and stored in the database or the file system. Uploaded pictures may be watermarked on upload as well.

I like the custom profile picture gallery (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=61708&page=1&pp=15) hack. I liked the vb advanced gallery or even the garage, but for my needs I was looking for a very simple gallery and I got it :)

I was under the assumption that with the latest Vb3 versions, that the archive was already search engine friendly. Am I missing out by not having this hack? Im not real big on hacking the forums, but if they are truly beneficial, then I am all for them.

My favorite, actually the only one I use - Online users today by PaulM. Not a major hack, but I like having it installed.

Now, about the importance of the archive hack........ :D How much does it help?

I like...

vBa CMPS
vBa Gallery (not free though)

And these two that helps new sites getting going fast.

uCash/uShop
v3 Arcade (with arcade pass hack for uShop)

Also like the "Post thank you" hack, i have modified it as a "Fame" hack instead though.

We just put in vBChat and it has some really cool features. Plus it has banning features from AdminCP that makes it taht much sweeter

I would have to say at the moment that is one of my favorite.

I like uShop/uCash heck very much. I have installed this heck recently on my forums and due to this I am able to run many contests. Most of the aspects are automated due to this heck.

Well....if we can keep from upgrading for more than a month, I would have my hacks all reinstalled...

The ones I use on my board are;

vBAdvanced CMPS
uCash/uShop
Arcade
vBGarage
vB Articles
Who's Online

Seems everytime I get a chance to rehack the board after a upgrade, there comes another serious security update and back to square one.

So...want a update...ask me to plan a "hack day" and sure enough, v3.0.8 will come out. :(

If it's still installed, it's a favorite hack of mine. Sometimes I can't even remember what hacks I've installed, though. I modify just about everything anyway, so sometimes I forget what I did, and what someone else did, that I modified. lol. I must be getting old. Hacks I can think of that I've got are:
vBA CMPS
Easy Archive Hack
vBChat
vBRadio
vBGarage
Timeslip Database
Arcade
Who's Online
Smilie Category Hack
The hack that let me add a row of links to my Navbar (forgot the name)
Quick Reply
Warning System Hack
PM Status Hack

That's all I can think of at the moment. I know you asked for favorites, but I really enjoy all of them. If I had to pick my top 5, they'd probably be:
vBA CMPS
Who's Online
Quick Reply
Navbar
Timeslip Database

I haven't seen a released version of this - and I know Shawn won't be releasing his anytime this century :)

but I really like the latest blog entry hack (http://sarahk.pcpropertymanager.com/blog/digitalpoints-seo-genius/71/) used at digitalpoint (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/).

It makes even the oldest threads look fresh and ensure the whole board is indexed regularly. v. cool.

My favorites are:
Vbadvanced CMPS,
NNTP Gateway, (Even though some attachments don't come through for some reason),
SpiderHack, makes it easy to see if the guests are real or just spiders.

I'd like to get the EZarchive hack working, but I'm having issues with it and IIS.

I have that on the back burner. Joe is itching for that one too.
