Looks as if Google is rolling out a new and improved toolbar.

The auto link thing should be of concern to some.
I don't think a map to every little place in the world is that helpful.

I downloaded the other one and it sucked.
Then I decided to give this beta a try and it is way better than the other one.
It has a better overall look and it has a spell check which comes in handy.

If you don't like autolink, turn it off. Much of the uproar about autolink is, I think, a misunderstanding about what it does. What it doesn't do is hijack your links. What it does do is provide links for words not part of a URL or anchor text.
Wait about 3 day to 3 weeks and there will be a way to outfox it anyway for those concerned. Anyone here remember Third Voice or SmartTags? How long did they survive?

Actually AutoLink is turned off by default so you don't even have to worry about it at all, also so is PageRank.

Actually, TtWEAK, I think the concern is that other people visiting a website will have it turned on and will be pulled away from the website against the wishes of the webmaster.
Nonetheless, as i noted above about Third Voice and SmartTags, any time something like this raises it's furry little head, someone else jumps up with an antidote and it has happened with Autolink already. There are reports in various places on the net about this -- summarized in this thread (http://www.bandofgonzos.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2175).

Well Google has said that they have plans for it in the future not many uses as of now since it is in beta. But I think if alot of people are against this it will eventually derail.
