New Skins

I posted a message on vbstyles hours ago....

I can't believe there are no-one wathing the boards over there.....

I found a nice style I want to purchase..... :rolleyes:

I'm installing a skin and one of the last steps say to:

In the new page look for: "Import Style XML File" click on browse and point it to the .xml file that you want to install

If the downloaded skin doesn't come with an .xml file, where would I be looking for this file?

It's giving me an opportunity to browse on my desktop - but one of the first instructions was to upload the style which I did, But there doesn't seem to be an xml file...

If it's the one that is preselected, I tryed that and it didn't work...

anyone been through this process?

I really like these vbstyles but there support forums are absolutely DEAD...

Apologies about this - but there are only two of us managing the site at the moment. Miko (the owner) is on Australia time (not sure what that is to you - but is +10GMT) and I am on GMT and so haven't been on the site since yesterday evening.

I had a pseudo-major family crises last night too where my son was assaulted at a friends party. He called me panicing asking to come and pick him up immediately, I went to get him, and I too got assaulted (and my car had massive stones thrown at it)...!!! We had the police at my house et al and hence not being online either here or on vBStyles last night. I would normally answer issues as soon as I was able to... please accept my apologies...

He's a true gentleman and a super top-class designer to boot, one of the best out there in my opinion - I was thus very proud to accept and be associated with vBStyles as a mod and customer helper.

As for vBStyles... people are sometimes suprised to find out that there are currently only Miko and I answering all the threads on the forum as well as all the installation requests and tickets in the support system. Sometimes it does take a while for me to answer given that I have a full time job to attend to as well... just hope I manage at some point to be able to work for myself and could then respond sooner. Please don't think any the less of vBStyles because of this delay. All threads and tickets are dealt with eventually.... honest...:)

its not called stealing technicly because i dont know if they are warez sites. They looks like pretty normal sites to me :)

Well if you downloaded and installed a copyrighted work, it's stealing.

A DCMA complaint would not be a good thing to have filed against you.

they i get some sites with forums and they post free vbulltien skins iam not sure if they are stolen iam sure they arnt because it says custome made.

it should be my parter on the site installed them i dont know much about VB iam just good at phpbb and ipb and like i said i am getting alot of errors on the VB skin so we just might get IPB

Hi, All This Vbcore guy is a scammer he told me to send $120 to create a skin and later ignored my work.
Don’t give him any advanced money.

I missed your posts above since I last responded... you said in your 1st post here that you go to warez sites and get skins for free... free skins are free skins and they are available from sites such as vbulletin-styles and others, but warez that implies direct theft and that is stealing. Period. End of story.
