Article in the USA TODAY (http://www.usatoday.com/money/advertising/2005-03-10-google-ads-usat_x.htm)
Google has a simple proposition for anyone who owns a Web site: Let it put up links to its ads, and Google's AdSense program will give you a piece of the action when someone clicks on them.
Its a light read, but interesting article.
With pay-per-click ads, Google and Yahoo are locked in a bitter battle for advertiser dollars. But Yahoo doesn't compete with AdSense for small publishers — yet. Yahoo says it will introduce an offering later this year.
This is something I cant wait for. Not because im dissatisified with Google - but because competition is almost certain to rais our adsense income. Also, if you get booted from Adsense for any reason, there is nowhere to go - once Yahoo starts up - there will be someplace to go and this will force Google to treat publishers with a little more respect. We will become customers, not just people lucky enough to have their ads.
