I can't pretend I'm qualified to give any advice regarding hip-hop. My only thought is that you should find a way to soften all the square edges that every forum has. It's all tables and boxes, and I think you need some curves. Try to find a skin (or hire a designer) that uses curved/rounded graphics for the table headers/borders.

well... everyone here knows by now that I am NOT a fan of dark styles. But this one does fit well with the theme of your site. I'm a great fan of the top X stats at the bottom of the forum, but haven't gotten around to adding them to mine. Truthfully, I'm not real sure it's even necessary

all in all, a pretty nice job.
