social outkast

this is my first attempt at a forum - its called social outkast and its for everybody but especially people who are considered outside of society such as goths, boarders, nerds, geeks etc.

we have lots of forums especially for these people but we are hoping to add more to them. we also have plenty of other forums to discuss issues or chat about rubbish.

please come and have a look and tell me what you think

Hey! Looking pretty good :). What I've learned in my experience is that its usually NOT a good idea to start out with a bunch of forums.. Why? When you don't have a lot of users to keep things up, it can be very discouraging to see forums with little to no activity. I rarely will, if ever, start a forum with more than 5 areas of discussion. Its something to keep in mind :). Once you grow you can always add more.

Well, its about finding a balance and making sure you have enough forums and still not too many. Each board is going to be different.

I like dark forums, but offering a lighter color style to go with the black would be a good idea. Many people hate looking at black. It's hard to see for some.

ive just added my amatuer front site. can somebody give me some feedback on it?

i just use a wysiwyg editor and done it in a couple of days - i have no idea how to build websites. its not 100% finished either. i just want to know wether to keep it or not before i totally fill it up.
