Congrats. What did you pay for that site?

I dont like to discuss things like that in specifics. Probably more then its worth right now though, but I think it has good potential.

Any suggestions on what to do with it?

I think it was an excellent investment!!!

The members are genuinly interested in the outcominig of the changes and seem very "attached" to it as a community....

I wish you all the luck with it.....

The best part as I saw it - it that it has almost NO SERPS -- yet has the age and the members, so I should be able to SEO it rather quickly and draw alot of new members in a reletively short period of time.

Hey Joey

That looks like a great investment indeed and I am sure you will do a great job of developing it further. Did you spot this on Sitepoint...? I didn't see it on there? if not, where else shuold I be looking to expand my empire too...:)

Sort of but not exactly. Someone on sitepoint knew the owner and that he might want to sell -- I approached the owner and he sold.

What's your timescales on getting this updated/converted Joey. Do you have a plan?

Hahahaha.... well that's as good as any I suppose...:):) And there was me expecting to read and be totally envious about a new holiday in the US.... ;)

So, what's the plan Joey? Did you decide which way around you were going to migrate? Server or app first?

age is such a big thing with G, if your site has been around long and never been penalized, optimization is a cake walk
