my first month has been quite tiring. very difficult to get your board out and about and promoted. i must have typed more words in the last month than i have ever typed in my entire ife.

ive been up till 3am every night and up at 9am and have been sat at my computer so much that i have got a rash on my legs. no pain no gain as they say.

ive had to learn all the options of vbulletin, how to use ftp which i have never used before, learn about servers and what things mean and how to use them, learnt how to use a webdesign program, learnt how to add hacks. my brain is reeling from all the new knowledge. this time last year id only just got my first pc.

ive also picked a crap host so ill need to find out about transfer through telnet/ssh and whatever the hell thats all about.

pheeeew what a learning experience. great stuff.

Yeah and who told you this would be easy?

That's about the schedule most of us keep! :D

Yup... building a forum takes effort and commitment... you'll get there though if you're keen enough.

I started http://www.WebmasterTalk.in forums in the month of Feb. this year. It is now 70 days old and I have got 171 members and 2900+ post posts.

My first month was so..so. In the first month, I was basically learning vBulletin (I am still learning the same as yet though :D) and tweaking the fourms. Learning new things from other related forums, installing new hacks, skin etc. This is an ongoing thing. Everyday, I sit on my computers, working on the fourms for 12-14 hours (including my Web Hosting Company - http://www.realvaluehosting.com :D). Now I think my forums are picking up. But I have to work hard... to get it going. You can't relax... :p

My first board definitely wasn't vB. I had a series of database crashes, sometimes my fault and sometimes others.

After I went through the process to convert to vB... I accidentally deleted the database when trying to upgrade and forgot to make a backup. Needless to say, I'll never make that mistake again.

Is it normal to have in two months sice it was created, a page rank of 1?
I think its great, but i don't know if it's usual.

Google has a mind of its own. Be happy that you got there so quickly. :)
