Apart from that ".com the best" and "register the .net, .org and other variations as well" stuff, how big part do you think does the domain name play when selling a forum?

Let's say someone wants to sell live forum, eg. 1000 members, 10.000 posts, but it is at .info domain. Would it have an impact on the price and how big?

I like .com a lot more than .info. You could get them for free for the longest time so I really don't like them and it would affect the price, to me anyways. Net, org, and com have always been my favorite.

well, .com is easier for people to remember, and what they type in by default.
