hi all i have started up a new forum and i want 2 know how can i get people 2 sign up 2 my forum ( www.v220forum.tk )

start by killing the redirect and that ad on the homepage - and your site is SLOOOOOOOOW.

Of course, its phpbb but doesnt look bad for PHPBB :)

Stop being a cheapskate and get your forum off the .tk domain! Free domain, free hosting, free forum, I don't expect you to be around tomorrow. Sorry, but I'd go help build a forum where the owner showed commitment.

The problem with .tk, and I tried them out YEARS ago, is the popup and the masking of urls - you can't actually link to a page within the site from outside the site.

Now, before you start soliciting for members you should get the skin right, and not have an image called "Your Logo" and in the invitation explain what type of users will be attracted to your site. We're not just going to sign up to every forum on the planet. After all that kind of behaviour exposes our email addresses and passwords to scammers - and how do we spot scammers - free domain, free hosting, free software... you get my point?

In addition to what have already been said, following suggestions might help you building your forums:

1. Making forums Search Engine Friendly.
2. Submitted site to the directories specially which lists forums database.
3. Trying participating in other webmaster forums.
4. Running contests.
5. Rewarding members.
6. Links from other forums.

These things take time in the begenning but soon your forum will start receiving new memebers and post.
