Sorry for not looking at your site sooner... I guess with a domain name like the one you have, many people would perhaps have initially thought the same thing as I did - "Oh no - yet another free iPod pyramid scam...!"

I guess that's something you have considered though yeah?

Anyway - the site really does look great, and as I have a few iPods in our house, I have signed up. I am also a member of a competitior forum to yours - iPodlounge.com - but I visited there a few days ago after experiencing an issue on my iPod and I wanted to ask for some advice. However, the site was very slow, and I couldnt remember my password to do a search etc... you might like to take advantage of the fact that the site hung and was dreadfull in terms of performance. It was only 3 days later that I eventually received three emails regarding my new password activation... not sure how you can capitalise on this, but I would if I were you...

It will be your site I will visit first from now on whenever I want to find out something about my iPod.

Thanks. I understand about the name but thats pretty set in stone for a while now. It links in with the program we also offer taht lets you change the graphics and font on the iPods OS.

Anyway, glad to see you've registered with us. We're a pretty young forum, 2 months and a bit, but we've grown pretty fast.

I'm working on the way the images are loaded to improve rendering time using css and tableless layout.

I liked your site, but the light blue bothered me a little. While I scrolled down it just seemed too bright. Maybe if you darkened it a little or added a little bit more color. That's just my $.02 though.

I have the same comment about the brightness. I just bought my first ipod, so I'll be sure to at least lurk for a while over there :). (30gb iPod photo). I haven't had any time to hack it, but I LOVE the fact that it has my entire music collection on there, with only a third of the space taken up. I knew I mp3'ed all my cd's for a reason!

I tinkered with a paler blue but I didn't like it at all. I tried a darker blue and it just seemed very boring.

I've just been playing with the color of alt1 and alt2. I changed alt2 to a light grey to take some of the brightness away.

The word "Register" is a tid bit distracting/hard to read (distracting is what you want with "register" of course, though) where you have, it but other then that your site is very nice and integrated.

I'm thinking of toning that red down into a different shade, still different from the rest but a little less "POW!".
