I would love if you people could share your valuable tips on the following issue:
Sometime I have found that Google is delivering irrellavent Ads on my forums. Specially on homepage it is not able to deliver targeted ads most of the time. Is there any way that we can help Google to deliver more targeted/relevant ads on my forums?

Its all about the content on the page. If your not getting relevant, then you need to add keyword rich content

Do you think that adding forums relevant keyword will help?
Or adding hidden keywords before the AdSense code will help?
On forums you don't have control on keyword rich contents. It all depends on the poster what he is going to do. I can't edit posts to make them keyword rich.

Hidden Keywords is a bad idea - but you can use alt tags.
Find lastpost.gif in your forumhome template and add a keyword rich alt tag. Right now it says "Go To Last Post" --- you can chage that to a keyword phrase
(im not sure right now where it is, but I'll look later
You can also add alt tags to the status icons -- forum_new.gif and forum_old.gif - and make them keyword rich.
But if your referring to webmastertalk.in it looks pretty accurate.

Is there a way to filter out usernames and sigs from the googlebot, and is it pemissible in the TOS? I've found that those are the largest contributor to irrelevant ads in my postbit/showthread templates. I have one person with the username Accord, and no matter what he posts about, the ads are advertising Hondas.

Sure. See this: Disable Signatures for Visitors (http://www.vbwebmaster.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55&highlight=signature)

Thanks, works great. I also added a little snippet of my own to disable guest viewing avatars.

as long it isnt restricting just se's from seeing them then yes you can. making it so only se's could see them would violate mant se tos's.
