On google is use this to find backlinks for my website : link:www.webmastertalk.in but I have found that Google doesn't show all the backlinks and it is not reliable. Google has more backlinks than it shows with the above mentioned command. I have found that Altavista search engine return more results using link command.

I am using a program called ARELIS, which automatically finds recommended link partners. From there i contact a bulk of those prospective link partners asking to exchange links.

It is actually quite good. They have a free trial i believe so you could give it a go. The program also automatically creates a link page which contains all the links and the META description for those link partners found in your search. Which can be a real help.

I like to search out the keyphrases that I want to target, see who has them, then get the sites that link to those sites to link to mine. It works pretty well, and I've seen some good traffic from that method.

Do you actually get any quality (something not on a links page) links using this method?

Finding backlinks is really tough for me as my site is a niche and it is niche in an industry which lacks sites so the number of sites out there willing to exchange links are very few. I have managed to build up a PR of 4 in 9 months time but progress is very slow.
