What Problems have you had with members?

What Problems have you had with members and how did you deal with them? Lets get a little insight as to what kind of problems we might face and different ways of dealing with them.

I had one member who continually rose to the bait that was set for him on the forums and complained bitterly about it. He just couldn't see it coming at all... it was all inocuous stuff, noting offensive otherwise my excellent team of mods would have picked it up and removed any offensive posts.

He certainly knew how to make things difficult and it got to the point where he started offending people and shouting and venting so often it came to bannign him. Shame... as he was a very good and informed community poster when he put his mind to it.

We had these two members practically use my forums as a 'dating and sex service' and they just ran rampant in their posts about it, Then they wanted their own 'forum' for 'sex' talk and when they finally realized there was nooo way they were about to get that, They got mad and left.....haven't seen them since

The main reason we ban people is for acting out against others on our site. We do not allow personal attacks and that's about the only thing we have had to kick membersoff the site for. For some reason the majority of the trouble makers on our site come from South Carolina. We have over 30,000 members of which about 20 have been banned. Of those 20, 14 are from SC :eek:

I have the occasional pain in the rear member of a forum that I used to co-own who wants to come over and start trouble.

the "miserable user" hack has taken care of those things though.
