I'm banned

I've asked this in another forum, and couldn't get it figured out. Guess I'll ask some vB experts. My forum at http://www.pbfan.com/ has been banned by Google. This isn't a new domain, I found it after it was dropped a few months ago. Google stops by once or twice a month but that's it. It's never picked up. I can't figure out any reason why I would be banned. I haven't built many backlinks to the site, but I've built enough to at least get 100 or so hits out of Google a month. The site is 5 months old. Of course, I have never linked to bad neighborhoods, used hidden text, or any other black hat techniques.

Well, your not exactly banned. - Your blog is indexed on June 3rd.

I would start by doing this. Go here and ask google directly. http://www.google.com/support/bin/request.py

Then, Do some of the SEO things discussed here, including getting backlinks ASAP.

See what google says. I dont see anything obviously wrong with your site.

actually, I think that's because I just set the blog url up to be a redirect to another blog.

What's a "bad neighborhood"?

I recently submitted to a million directories, and some didn't look very reputable... which is why I ask.

From what I read, them linking to you is not that big of a problem. When you link to them, that's the problem. Bad neighborhoods are link farms that spam keywords, and do a lot of black hat SEO to get higher in search engines.

Oh, whew, that's good.

I put quite a few links on my site... but mainly from the nice looking directory sites.

Have you ever gone on like TrafficSwarm?
Most of those things seem very fly by... black hat, as you say. Is that what you mean?

Thanks so much :)
