Total Newbie QuestionnevetS 06-11-2005, 10:55 PM So I have a default install and I wanted to create and modify a new style. I want to leave the default one intact so I can revert after I screw everything up :). It's not obvious to me how to do that. so how do I copy the default style and then rename it and upload it for customization? Michael 06-12-2005, 01:15 AM I guess after doing all your customizations that you could just revert the templates when "screwing" up. I think also that you could perhaps go to Upload Styles and then leave all the fields blank except changing the Skin name and ignoring the Skin version, that may work ... Nicky Scars 06-12-2005, 07:56 PM What I do is download the default style to my PC. Change the name of the style and just upload it back to the forum as Import Style XML File. If you are still freash into building the site I would suggest to work on your hacks and mods first this just makes it easier when it comes back to editing templates. | |
