A link to the tools you are trying to use would help.

errr um... I dont have any tools yet...I am on square 1.

I am not even sure on how it tottaly works yet....

You have your content, you encode and compress it, then put it on your server, and send it off to another to be broadcast?

I have no clue. I was gonna look at the instructions for your chosen app.

I'm pretty sure most hosts don't allow just anyone on any server to stream. I'd ask my host what I can do first and go from there.

Just a couple of quick questions....

Is this something you want to put on your forum?

Are you running vB?

A couple of options are to use a media player and then just upload the file you want to use using BB codes. I have this set up on my board and it works quite well. It will allow you to use mp3, wma, wmv, realplayer, quicktime. Here's a link to a thread on my site for a preview. HERE YA GO (http://www.bassnutz.com/showthread.php?t=1298)

It's an alternative to letting people/members stream.

Maybe this is what you're looking for?

no, I am looking at a full streaming channel, I have the VBradio 2.3 for my on site media...and I tryed running the inline media with the bb codes, but the files I have are huge, so in a few instances its not practical....I am running VB...but I am looking at a seprate stream, and I then want to have it viewable on site and in media player...

I am looking into shoutcast tv, but thats real confusing to me. haha

Hi Keith

This sounds like the kind of thing you'd be better getting a local professional to help with.
