Target Market of mostly men, mostly 25-55, very much into cars, a lot of drag racers and restoration people, most do all of the work on their cars -- which generally means they also are very handy around the home. They be into sports and manly entertainment ;)

Beer, sports, tools, non-competing car sites, auto parts, computer software, Internet hosting, memorbilia, automotive art, vacations, travel, trucks, boats, auto transporters, -- you get the idea. Sorry, no porn, hate, or gay sites.

$250 for 200,000 views spread over 6 months -- I'll do the artwork. That's the right number of times to have the banner presented to be memorable -- but not overbearing. Many members -- many more visitors and guests. The board is growing pretty fast with very active promotion by the administrator.

Excellent value for a very targeted group.

There's a big thread on it at org -- the guy started out with a good idea -- but it only worked on his server. I figured out how to make it work on all servers -- so go deep into the thread for the secret.

I would be happy to do some of these for you, hack your bulletin board, and create the CRON jobs in your CPanel -- but quite honestly it takes the better part of a day and I have such a backlog of paid work, that I can't be cheap.

It looks like 4 hours on paper -- but if you read the posts, nothing goes the way it looks on paper with this hack because it makes some asumptions on what's installed on your server -- so someone with a little experience can double the time he'd think it should be.

I have no formal training in php and MySql -- but can follow detailed instructions to modify scripts. I think if your actually download the hack and carefully read the entire thread to see where people had their problems -- you'd figure it out. Back up your viewing style first so you can restore it if there's a problem. This hack doesn't dink with the database (so I guess it technically isn't a hack to many) so it is a safer one to play with.

You will have to have a couple of CRON jobs to run this to make it appear real time. To keep from beating up my searver -- I run it every 15 minutes -- so technically it is not realtime, but cloe enough for government work.

If you give it a legitimate try and fail -- I'll try to suggest how you need to fix the problem. Post to this thread and I'll monitor it.

They do work -- and I have them plastered everywhere. On the sigs -- people will always have to whine about something. My sig is 400 X 80 - so it doesn't take up any real estate; and is 22K -- so unless you have a stone and chisel for a computer -- it won't know it is there. The one's who whine generally are the ones who got slapped for their 1600X450 sig that was 3 MB -- or someone who can't make a sig. I've been playing babysitter on boards for a long time now and a policy of sigs under 30K and the sum of the length and width not exceeding 700 is a pretty fair policy. There's even a hack out there for the idiots who violate the sig policy -- to where they can't have one.

Yeah, I knew that you thought of all that.
