Do you need someone to install your vbulletin board, mods, or styles? I can do all of those for a very low fee and quickly too. If you are interested feel free to email me at mike.c152@gmail.com or PM me. My msn email is mike.c152@gmail.com and my AIM SN is xxchaos745xx if you would like to contact me using MSN or AIM. Sorrry if this is not the right section for this but this is the most suited for this thread.

Hi Mike

Could you give us a link to your personal site, or some sort of portfolio so we can see what else you've done.

thanks

Sarah

We need to start a vB services directory here also, maybe Joey already has one.

Sarah King, your Mambo site is the best one I have seen to date, I did not know a Mambo site could look this good.

Did you do all the design changes yourself

I do not really have a personal site but so far I installed a forum at http://www.myvibes.info/forums/ and I installed my vbulletin forum at http://www.explosive-hosting.com/forum and upgraded it to 3.5 beta 3 from 3.0.7.

Did you do all the design changes yourself :confused:The template at kiwi blogs (http://www.rainchx.com/mambo) is a free one I picked a while ago based on a rip off from drupal. Raincheck (http://www.raincheck.co.nz/) is Mambo and it is outasight but wait until my next 2 go live. One is more "standard" but the other is fantastic (Dan from Pinkeye (http://www.pinkeye.co.nz) is a great designer).

Glad you liked them!

I see that you mentioned you are starting a vB forum, what is that about

Thanks for the help on the Mambo design.

I see that you mentioned you are starting a vB forum, what is that about  Me? Yeah, I've got a few of them around too, not mine, though. I've done 3 for clients. 1 (http://www.sharechat.co.nz/forum/), 2 (http://www.assetmagazine.co.nz/) & 3 (http://www.propertytalk.com/forum/) but you won't be able to see #3 yet

Wonderful SK, if Joey ever gets his vB services directory going you will have to submit your listing.

I have asked him to promote you around here, I just don't know if it is going to take a demand from me yet, Joey has not responded to my PM

He'll get there. In the meantime he's painfully extracting an article from me ...

He must have extracted your signature at the same time SK

Nah, I'm of the school of thought that believes one sig per page is enough.

I just don't get it SK, why worry about such a thing?

We are more worried about images in signatures (banners), you know those flashing signs that you have to look at when you read a thread.

We have one member here that has a damn good one (Mopar Style), but I don't think everyone could get away with it in such style as he does. :o

Maybe but sigs can pervert google's understanding of a page, especially when it's the same old characters posting over and over, and with very short posts. The sigs end up building the page, not the post.

Google's been spanking sarahk (http://realestateforum.com/showthread.php?t=442&page=18&pp=10) lately so maybe I have to get more aggressive ;)

SK, the engines discounted forum signatures long ago, I would not worry about that, it must have been something else like reciprocal link directories.

Have you submitted to many of those

Good Luck.

If anyone is in the Dallas area I would be willing to hire someone to help a novice set up a small vBulletin board. Users max will be less than 200 - I know what I want but have never done it before. The server isn't online yet - I wanted to get it running and tested in a controlled environment before bringing it on the web. That is why I need someone local to me. Send me a PM or email if you can help.
