AnthonyCea 07-16-2005, 11:05 PM I want to start a forum for music lovers, ya know those old rockers like myself that still like Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and some of the great Blues artists like Luther Allison and BB King.
What do you guys think  I say it will be a smash hit, I can talk trash about Led Zeppelin forever :D
PS: I can throw in a hell of a lot of Shakira into the mix also
MXjunk127 07-16-2005, 11:32 PM go ahead...
As it is said time and time again....if you think its a good idea....Dooooooo It. -_-
AnthonyCea 07-16-2005, 11:36 PM ....I told you before that I want partners with big money and good looking sisters man :o
I can't do it other wise  :)
MXjunk127 07-16-2005, 11:46 PM  Well, you cant start a forum then can you, so this thread is useless.
AnthonyCea 07-16-2005, 11:51 PM Why is that Keith
Maybe some member here has big money and good looking sisters :) :D
PS: What if Joey puts me on the payroll next week
I will then have the money for the forum and the chicks will come to me because I am running the rock and roll forum
bassnutz 07-17-2005, 08:38 AM Do it up!!! There can never be too many music sites/forums out there.
What is your site going to offer that is different from other sites? What's going to keep all those people coming back to your site?
If you need help, I'll try my best to give you a hand.
noppid 07-17-2005, 08:49 AM I wanna be the lead singer.
AnthonyCea 07-17-2005, 08:57 AM Do it up!!! There can never be too many music sites/forums out there.
What is your site going to offer that is different from other sites? What's going to keep all those people coming back to your site?
If you need help, I'll try my best to give you a hand.
Well to start off it will have, ME, ME, ME :D
Plus we are going to give Noppid a Hair extension wig and do live video of him with a smoke hanging out of his mouth like Slash does with an axe hanging on his shoulder.
We won't let him play though :p
No in reality, I can flog all my favorite artists, I am a Led Zep fanatic and they alone can draw a giant crowd, not to mention Shakira who I am in a very deep love with as everyone already understands :D
Yahoo has invested billions in the music business and I have a few ideas to plug in myself.
PS: Looking for rich partners or web hosting expert to partner with.
noppid 07-17-2005, 09:07 AM I'll do an SMF site to see what ya accomplish. But I'm not buying another vBulletin for an experiment.
But again, Only if I can be the lead singer and after my sabatical is over. I hate computers right now. In fact, I'm looking at a job right now.
AnthonyCea 07-17-2005, 09:25 AM Too bad you have a family, I could put you out in the hot Sun mixing mud for the bricklayers tomorrow dude
What is a SMF site
I will buy the damned license next month when cash flows a bit :p
noppid 07-17-2005, 09:54 AM SMF is an OS forum software. I've used it before, easy to get up to speed on.
I have an office job lined up. Sales, client list and accounts provided. I'm definatly going for it if it comes to be. They are building two new stores now and there is no sales dept. yet. I'd be in on the ground floor.
mikelbeck 07-17-2005, 09:54 AM I've got a music site that I never really got around to finishing, I sent you a PM about it. Maybe we can work together to get it done and you can trash Led Zeppelin on it all you want. ;-)
AnthonyCea 07-17-2005, 10:08 AM ....get Robert Plant and Jimmy Page to come on the damned forum, you can bet on that :D
More like arse kissing instead of "trashing" :p :p
noppid 07-17-2005, 10:10 AM Ever since the Paris Hilton Phone thing, they have begged me not to give their number to you. :D
AnthonyCea 07-17-2005, 10:17 AM I know Robert Plant's entertainment security man, he got me tickets for the front row for a show in Cleveland in 1993, maybe he can put in a good word for me ;) :D
noppid 07-17-2005, 10:28 AM I'm sure he remembers you of all people after 12 years too.
And it makes sense the security man would know you too. Scary man.
AnthonyCea 07-17-2005, 11:10 AM I sell laminating machines as part of my business and sold him laminating pouches to make backstage passes, he traded me tickets for the supplies :D
Great show also, Plant was on big time that night, wish I would have took my portable recording studio in that night, but since he was close enough and looked me in the eye a few times I could not do it.
Plus if my security friend caught me when he gave me those tickets he would have kicked my ass.
There was a big fight in in the first few rows when this idiot from the back started to jump over seats and was moving forward toward the end of the show.
The drummer threw out his drumsticks when the show ended and this girl in front of me caught them, then this ass grabbed one of the sticks out of her hand. So I waved the security guys over and they wrestled him to the ground, it took about 4 of them to get this big MF down and they twisted the stick out of his hand and gave it back to the girl after I told them what he did. :D
He took a real ass beating and they held his ass down until after everyone left the hall, funny stuff man. :p :p
noppid 07-17-2005, 11:39 AM I was at a Rainbow show where Richie Blackmore threw his guitar out. Well, two weeks before, we went to the same show in last friggin' row! This time we were 5th row and had a pair of cutting pliers. When the guitar came out, some huge mofo grabbed it. I jumped over a few seats, into the fight and cut off a key and some strings. It was a insane. I was bruised and my hands cut all to hell from holding the strings while we wrestled for the guitar, like 25 people. Did I mention insane?
AnthonyCea 07-17-2005, 11:49 AM ....that big guy could have hit you over the head with that axe :D
Well at the "World Series of Rock" we used to have at the Old Cleveland Stadium back in the 70's near the stage when things got hot, everyone used to stand up near the stage, there were no seats on the ground.
http://www.clevelandseniors.com/people/belkin.htm
What happened was when Ted Nugent came on (in those days he was a big draw) that guy would jump around like a Tiger on top of the amps, he actually wore a cat's tail, that is how fast he was at jumping around on stage at that time. Well as the show got hot folks just kept pushing from the back closer and closer so that we were all jammed together while the artists jammed on stage.
One would wonder if you were going to be crushed by the crowd as more and more folks just kept pushing forward.
That is how 8 folks died at the Who concert way back when in Cincinnati as people just walked over them to get to general admission seating.
PS: See attached photo of 82,500 folks jammed into the old stadium in Cleveland, now torn down, the new Cleveland Indians Stadium now in it's place.
minstrel 07-17-2005, 12:28 PM Ah the good old days... sex, drugs, rock'n'roll, death... they just don't make 'em like that any more
AnthonyCea 07-17-2005, 12:36 PM Yeah, I think Noppid did get hit with that Axe by reading some of his posts :D
Oh yeah, those were the days seeing folks carried out flat on their backs from OD's.... ;)
PS: I keep telling these kids that we were the wildest generation ever, they learn what cool is from us, Hammer and the rap gang "can't touch that" :)
noppid 07-17-2005, 02:59 PM To think, I used to take the tubes back and forth to manhatten from Jersey at 13 Y/O and up to see concerts. I do remember being scared coming home though. But I was at the show!
mikelbeck 07-17-2005, 04:02 PM I spent a lot of time at clubs in NYC and Long Island during the 80s... CBGB's, L'Mour, The Ritz, Showcase, Sundance. The NYHC scene was huge then.
I saw all kinds of crazy bands... Manowar, The Cro-Mags, The Dictators, DRI, Suicidal Tendencies, SOD, MOD, Agnotistic Front, Murphy's Law, etc, etc. Lots of crazy **** going on at those shows, people diving off of speaker towers, stage diving, huge mosh pits. All sorts of people leaving in ambulances.
BTW, I played foosball against Richie Blackmore at Sparks in Deer Park back in the day. He was good and I was drunk, so I had no chance. ;-)
AnthonyCea 07-17-2005, 04:03 PM ....of those old shows at the "World Series of Rock" at the Old Cleveland Stadium, those are priceless if they are good quality films.
Man I love bootleg films that folks sell at the record conventions, I bought a few of them and one guy had a camera mounted in his hat and had a very high quality Robert Plant concert that he filmed. Some great stuff :p
I got my Sony Walkman professional recorder into a Page and Plant concert in Cleveland in 98 and had the MF on pause the whole time and was flipping the tape by my watch.
What an ass I was not to look at the recorder to make sure it was actually spinning, I missed the best Bootleg recording of my life and I have got it done before, but never a show that big. Should have never went to the bar before the show, I will never make that mistake again.
MXjunk127 07-17-2005, 04:03 PM Why is that Keith
Maybe some member here has big money and good looking sisters :) :D
PS: What if Joey puts me on the payroll next week
I will then have the money for the forum and the chicks will come to me because I am running the rock and roll forum
If its not your money, how can you "start" it???? Your "investors" of time, skills, and money would have more of a part of "starting it"....Its my impression you need help with running it also, installing hacks, ect...What are you planning on doing, sitting back and watch people pay for your site, run it, and call it your own???
You sound like you have been on this planet a LOT longer than I, you should know this by now. But, as unplesant as it may sound, money is what makes the world go round, it takes money and time to do this kinda stuff, even I know this. Here is a novel Idea, why dont you spend a little less time learching around on the forums, and sell a few extra laminating machines or something, isnt that what you do? Grab yourself by the balls and buck up. Serriously. Do the math... $10 bucks for the domain, $160 for the licence, and $60 hosting for the year, with an ASO small package. Thats means its about a week worth of work, at minimum wadge...This is easily do-able seeing you can have it up for a mere $175, and $5 a month after.
Listen, I have a really good idea for a forum, I have had it for weeks and it is certain to bring in a lot of income for myself and the future staff, but I am waiting till I can afford another licence and the time, I dont ask for people to pay for it and basicly build it up...Get real and do somthing for yourself.
/rant off
Oh yea. I highly doubt Joey will be doing that. But, if he does, more power to you both...
And what happens when you actually can afford the thing, and start it up and find there is actually work involoved, and not so much time for the ladies available?
minstrel 07-17-2005, 04:07 PM MXjunk127, I suspect you don't know Anthony as well as the rest of us. He's just having fun in this thread. He's not seriously asking for handouts from you or anyone else.
You just need to get used to his sense of humor - definitely a bit quirky but it grows on you - sort of like fungus - or noppid.
AnthonyCea 07-17-2005, 04:07 PM That is why we like you Keith, you bring us back to reality and tell it like it is, but I need to bust something like this out big, that means I need money people and technology people involved. :o
I can dig what you are saying, but if I do it I am not going to crawl to the gates of success, I am going to try to run it over man :)
PS: Minstrel is right Keith, I have a thousand ideas for web businesses, this is just one of many my man, plus we have fun creating content here while we bust out another business plan that may or may not fly :D

I feel I know him or his mentality well. I doubted he is, or ever was serious at all about it. He seems to be having his fun in nearly every thread on this and other sites. His "humor" is repelling me from the site. I am just stating the facts, and adding some somewhat usefull information, something that should be said on a "webmaster" site. Dont get me wrong, I LOVE the info and a lot of people here. Great place.
noppid 07-17-2005, 04:25 PM Keith I hear ya loud and clear. I like to respond to this type post too. But ya know, it's just some stranger on the end of a wire, not worth getting into it really ever, but I did too.
I'm taking a break from the forum, or weening off at least and enjoying the summer. I'm just passing through here when I take breaks in the garage to cool.
I tell people all the time, it's just the internet. But now I'm seeing how important it is to remember everytime I feel compelled to reply.
But back to AC. Like it was said, you have to "get it", hehe. We knew, now you know. :)
AnthonyCea 07-17-2005, 04:29 PM Ah you guys just "think you know", but you are far from knowing ;)
You don't have to follow these threads, drop out and those that are interested are those who I will work with.

I agree, I never reply to stuff like this normaly, write the person off as a low life, or lazy and stupid...but maby I have some respect or something for the guy, and wish to do him some negative-reinforcement. Pluss I am ticked at the moment at unrelated things, so that could be a part of it.:)
noppid 07-17-2005, 04:35 PM I feel I know him or his mentality well. I doubted he is, or ever was serious at all about it. Well that's what seperates VBW from other sites. We want you to decide who's posts you read and reply to based on your knowledge, not our opinions. But just keep it civil. Post a reason to disagree and move on.
There is an ignore feature and the ability to just refrain from replying to someone you don't agree with as well.
I don't really think invoking "for the good of the forum" we stop something because someone does not understand or disagrees.
AnthonyCea 07-17-2005, 04:37 PM Keith I don't want to be mean to you, I think you are a valuable member here, but your slogan sort of fits your mentality now and I think you may need to grow up a bit.
"/ignore-ance is bliss"
noppid 07-17-2005, 05:07 PM And that don't mean you should escalate it. Now back to the show.
AnthonyCea 07-17-2005, 05:18 PM I have no problems with Keith, I just see that he needs a bit of seasoning as far as his posting style is concerned, if this is the style he uses on his forums then he will never make it.
He needs to change a bit and learn a bit more before making comments that he may regret in the future.
I don't know how old he is, but a bit of tact would not hurt him, some of his comments in other threads were way out of place also.
If he wants to be a successful administrator of forums, he needs to listen to what I am saying here, it may be of great use to him in the future and this thread could actually help him long term in dealing with others.
noppid 07-17-2005, 05:44 PM Well I see alot of me in his posts. I'm making an effort to change my outlook and thus reactions. I was suggesting the same for him. I hope the best for all of us.
Now shut up.
AnthonyCea 07-17-2005, 05:47 PM Well if that is the case then he is alright, I can go back to busting both of your balls now :o
But at this time I have to go unload my truck, I hope that I am not cursing you and Keith too much as I am throwing the concrete in the holes in my driveway.
I have to drive the truck to work tomorrow so I have to leave both of you for now! :D
noppid 07-17-2005, 06:00 PM Hurry back.
I could use a concrete man. ;)
AnthonyCea 07-17-2005, 08:07 PM Ah the good old days... sex, drugs, rock'n'roll, death... they just don't make 'em like that any more
Well Kurt Cobain brought it all back Minstrel, too bad that he had to go that way, but if you were married to Cortney Love you would be thinking shotgun also.
If he would have had a better woman he would still be here today.
minstrel 07-17-2005, 09:57 PM I don't know. Not being married to Courtney Love didn't help Jim Morrison, or Jimi Hendrix, or Janis Joplin, or a lot of others who burned out like comets when they hit the atmosphere of the real world...
AnthonyCea 07-17-2005, 10:11 PM Substance abuse is a bad thing, John Bonham Zep's drummer killed himself drinking 50 double shots of vodka.
Sad because all of them would be worth hundreds of millions if they were still alive, but all the money in the world means nothing when you are strung out.
Steven Tyler was a multi-millionaire walking the streets of NY strung out and his managers had to put him on a $20.00 a day allowance, when Aerosmith hit skid row and were all broke (went from rags to riches and back to rags from drugs) they woke up and got off the crap and made a giant comeback and made the Millions back.
Joe Perry is now Chairman of the Board of www.aerosmith.com
PS: Check this link out, I pulled the site from one of the Google ads running in this thread.
http://www.ticketsnow.com/tickets.cfm/p=259794
Robert Plant is on tour now and tickets are up to $500.00, parking alone is $35.00, funny I use to buy tickets to the show for $35.00 :p
