Admin permissions

I have an "admin" account on my forum, plus a user account that I use for posting. I've made my user account an admin, but when I log into the admin control panel I don't have all of the same options that the main admin account has. What do I need to do to make the user account have the same permissions as the admin account?

Be sure that you've checked admin permissions for that username.
Also be sure that you've added the userID to the config.php file under Super Administrators

Exactly. I made the same mistake when I first started. For some reason, you ahve to take the extra steps to make an admin something more then a moderator.

Mark,
acp - usergroups - usergroup manager - administrators -
also acp - usergroups - forum permissions

But, the BIG thing is to be sure that the userID is added under SuperAdministrators in the config.php

Inside your forum/includes folder. It's the same file you edited before installing vbulletin.
