Why? Is everyone on this thread talking so badly about Hilary I think she would better than the current president we have now Geroge W.Bush one of the worst presients in U.S history.
Sending our fellow Americans to a war zone talking about Iraqi freddom that is just bull crap and British Prime Minister Tony Blair is silly enough to tag along with Bush and send his people over there too. Not to mention there are other soliders over in Afganistan too fighting for their lives this is a unjust war period. In hometown they had a survey asking which canidate that is running for president in 2008 who would they vote for ? And quess which person won the person your badly talking about good old Hilary and not former Virginia Governor Geroge Allen.

I respectfully disagree. I personally feel that voting in Hitlery would be a very bad mistake.
Too bad Condi isn't running.

Can't believe you started talking about this back in April. You folks are gluttons for punishment. :giggle:
I can't vote for Hillary - I'd cut my hands off first.
I'm on the fence with Obama. He's charismatic, and he makes good points - but he has yet to tell me how he would accomplish anything he's proposing.
I don't know that I could vote for McCain. A year ago yes, but not so sure now.
I'm on the fence regarding both Giuliani and Romney.
Truth be told? If it were today with this field running ... I'd consider "None of the above". :-/
I can't believe we have to deal with all this for the next 21 months. :p ;)
Peggy

The repubs still don't have a good front runner. There's a chance for Condi yet!

I'm on the fence regarding both Giuliani ..........
Can anyone tell me anything spectacular, or even really good, about Guiliani?
I mean, his only "claim to fame" is the fact that he happened to be mayor of NYC when 9/11 occured. Sure, he held up under pressure and "got the job done". But I would think that just about any mayor would have done the same.
So, with that in mind - what exactly has the man done that one would consider him Presidential material?

I rather vote for Hilary or any other Democrat no republican over this way I don't think so. I agree with Peggy there is not a good front for the republicans so this up coming election the democrats will win and get on of their own in the white house which who be great in my opinion.

and that is your perogative.
OK, for those like me who are ignorant of US politicians and who is in the running in each party - anyone fancy a little paragraph here explaining who's who... :)
I know very little about US politics or about US politicians... but I most certainly do know that your current president is absolutely not a good advert for your country. For a nation full of good people, who have such national pride - I find it unbelievable you allow someone like him to represent all that you stand for.
Not sure how well Bush is doing regarding internal US matters, but he is doing you no good on the international level.

As an outsider, I wonder how much of the allergic reaction some people have to Hilary is from their gender biased preconceived ideas on conduct. The subject of perceptions iro ambitious women came up on my forum recently. If she was a man, what would she have done wrong? Other than marry Bill, of course, and even that would be in the eyes of the beholder. In some parts that would have gone down quite well :p although I doubt it would be enough support to carry a Presidency.
On current form whomever wins the Republican nomination is going to have a mountain to climb.
Which means Hilary just needs to get the Democrat ticket. I reckon she's got the cards and she knows how and when to play them. And that might well include the gender bias thingy.

I don't know about anyone else, but Hitlery Clinton being a woman has nothing to do with my intense dislike of her, nor whether I'd vote for her for president.
The fact is, if Condoleeza Rice decided to run, I'd vote for her in less than half a heartbeat. :)

Her husband is, at least here in the UK, one of the most well respected US 'figures of state' there has ever been. I am not sure of the general UK perception of Hilary though, but it certainly isn't anywhere near one of loathing.

John I'll try to answer this tomorrow, as I'm on my way to bed just now.
However, I will say this - If Bill Clinton is truly one of the most respected "figures of state" over there - I think that is very sad. The man is a liar, a deciever (sp?), came close to being impeached, conveniently pushed responsibility and blame for 9/11 onto the current administration, when in fact, his administration not only had knowledge of Al Queda, but attacks by Al Queda against our troops occurred on his "watch" and he did - basically - nothing. I have no respect whatsoever for Bill Clinton. And even less for his wife. For many reasons.
g'night :)

First of all your friend Bush had lied too about the war in Iraq talking about how the late Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and they did not time to found if this claim was even true. And second then he changed his claim on the war of Iraq saying itwas about Iraqi freedom and finding out it was about the oil in their country.
Really both Clinton and Bush did not enough researching on Al Queda or other tthreats this is what made 9/11 happen. Both Clinton and Bush lied about certain things when they were question. Bush also is invading peoples privacy by having peoples phones tapped and goodness how what else he is doing. So when comes down to it both of them are not so good when comes to their authority being questioned.

You can not make me agree I will continue to disagree there is no chancing my mind. I can give many reasons why? I still think and will always think Clinton was a much better leader than Bush Jr. And by the way I am being nice I could call you out by a bad name rather than your username and that's not being nice period. So I'll leave by this my saying this your opinion is yours and my opinion is mine end of story.
You can not make me agree I will continue to disagree there is no chancing my mind. I don't think Peggy is trying to make you agree with her or is trying to get you to change your mind at all, in fact, you started this tit-for-tat. Peggy simply mentioned that you are as much entitled to your opinion as she is hers. Simple as.
And by the way I am being nice I could call you out by a bad name rather than your username and that's not being nice period. Neither is saying what you just said very nice at all. I could care less who you are, there is no need for antagonistic and aggressive comments such as these.
So I'll leave by this my saying this your opinion is yours and my opinion is mine end of story.Hmmmm... repeating what Peggy said to you eh!
Now Heiress-Apparent, calm down and please only continue this debate in a non confrontational, non aggressive manner.

First of all was no one talking to you and second I am calm. I can't stand people talking telling me to calm down when I am calm. I don't care about how you feel but your mind own business. I did not say the same thing she said I guess that's what to believe but it is wrong. You can't label someone just their writing because you don't them personally. Remember say out others discussions. And I am not aggersive I am speaking my point I don't need to express
myself because I made my point and I am finish.
Heiress, please mind your manners. In case you don't get this, let me explain it. When you post something on a public forum such as this, whatever is posted is EVERYONE'S business, like it or not. If you don't want someone to comment on your post (especially when you're attacking someone else), then don't post it. Secondly, since he is an administrator of this site, he has even more right to comment on your post.
Until you can calm down, be civil, and at least type so that it can be understood, I'm locking this thread. Have a nice day.
