Google will be realeasing Adsense for Feeds (Syndicated Content) soon.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
What is AdSense for feeds?

We're currently beta testing AdSense for feeds, a program that allows you to monetize your feeds through contextually targeted advertising.

AdSense for feeds works the way the rest of the AdSense program works, delivering ads that are so relevant to the content that readers find them useful. And when people click on these ads, Google pays you. If you're interested in participating in AdSense for feeds, we encourage you to fill out an application.

You may also wish to take a look at our set of best practices to help you get the most out of AdSense for feeds.

What are the best practices for AdSense for feeds?

Feeds represent an exciting new way for publishers to distribute their content to users. By placing relevant, useful ads in feeds through the AdSense for feeds program, publishers will now be able to receive payment for their original content when it is distributed in a feed. Below is the set of best practices for publishers participating in AdSense for feeds.

Syndicate the full text of your articles. The more content that is available in a site’s feed, the better the user experience, and the more likely people are to subscribe your feed. If you can’t put the full text of your articles in your feed, then in addition to the headline of each article, include as informative a snippet as possible of the article’s text.

Don’t include more than one ad unit per article. Feeds represent an uncluttered, highly targeted medium, and these characteristics should be preserved to maintain and grow an audience. The AdSense for feeds ad format has been designed to be very streamlined to ensure that users are not overwhelmed with advertising.

Place the ad unit at the end of articles. The content of an article is what users are most interested in, and that should be placed first. Then they can read the ad with more context.

Include terms and conditions on the use of your feeds. Just as you have rights associated with the original content you create on your website, so do you have rights associated with your feed content. If you have concerns about those rights, specify the exact terms and conditions for the use of your feeds somewhere on your site.

What are feeds?

Feeds are a simple way for web publishers to syndicate their online content. The format of feeds allows content to be easily distributed to users, often as headlines, summaries or articles. Users subscribe to feeds, frequently through a feed aggregator such as Bloglines or FeedDemon, which gives them access to all desired feeds in one location.

Using AdSense for feeds, publishers can display contextually targeted Google ads in their feeds, enabling them to monetize their syndicated content.

How do I get the AdSense for feeds code?

Once you've been approved to participate in the beta test of AdSense for feeds, you can generate the AdSense for feeds code by following the steps below.

1. Log in to your AdSense account at http://www.google.com/adsense
2. Click the AdSense for content tab.
3. Under Ad Type select AdSense for feeds unit.
4. From the dropdown menu to the right, select your platform.
5. Select a channel, if desired.
6. Copy and paste the generated AdSense for feeds code into your feed template. The code should be placed at the bottom of your template.

Google ads should begin showing in your feeds within 24-28 hours.

Please note that AdSense for feeds impressions and earnings are not reported separately from AdSense for content impressions and earnings, so we recommend that you use a custom channel to track your AdSense for feeds statistics.
